Diffuse silicon pressure sensor is a pressure sensor based on piezoresistance effect. The core component is a strain resistor or varistor formed on a silicon wafer by diffusion of impurities, usually in a silicon cup structure. When the pressure acts on the sensor, the silicon wafer generates stress to change the resistance value. The pressure is calculated by measuring the change of resistance. Generally, four equivalent resistances form a Wheatstone bridge, and the pressure change causes the bridge to lose balance, thus outputting an electrical signal proportional to the pressure.
The sensor is characterized by high precision, high sensitivity, good stability and corrosion resistance, small size, light weight and easy installation. It is widely used in industrial automation, aerospace, automobile industry, medical health, environmental monitoring and other fields.
